2017 Season Opener-UPDATED

Although there was mixed results on the field it was a fantastic day of football to kick off the regular season! Off the field it was an amazing day and I wanted to thank the midget players for hosting the fantastic pancake breakfast. Thank you to everyone involved with the breakfast notably Tara and Tiffany for all the organization and hard work leading up to and during the event.

Also a shout out to our face painter who was at the field much longer than planned as she had a line of kids for hours who all looked amazing after she was done.

All day we were taking names for a chance to win the BC Lions helmet. I’m happy to announce that Kayden Wold on our flag team was the winner! Congratulations Kayden! You’ll have your new helmet at practice on Wednesday!

I know everyone has been reminded numerous times but don’t forget picture day is Sept 6TH at MILNER PARK. In case you’re wondering we were informed late last week the stadium will be closed for a Whitecaps FC2 game which is why we’ve had to change locations.

I’d like to welcome Original Joe’s to the NLFA family. Original Joe’s is just down the street from MAP at 20811 Fraser Hwy. Check out the clothing table on game days where you can pick up coupons for the restaurant. Thanks to Miranda at Original Joe’s for your support!

See you at the field

Steve Aasen
President NLFA
