The North Langley Bears Peewee team won their third straight, taking down the Chilliwack Red Giants on the road 20-8 on Saturday.
Evan Hoy (82) scored the first touchdown, with the point after kick by Damon Bernemann (9). The Bears defense was solid once again, with several tackles for losses by Aiden McMurtry (44), Rowen Engele (71) and Talon Schroeder (64). Lucca Patterson (67) and Schroeder also added sacks on the day. Benjamin Evans (11), the Bears quarterback, threw for several first downs and added a pick six touchdown on defense. Rylan Middleton (12) added a touchdown on a run for the Bears. Spencer Hazelton (80), Brody Hunter (86) and Eli Linden (18) added to the Bears defense while Bernemann, Lachlan MacInnes (81) and Lucas Kinch (30) added to the offensive game. Aiden McMurtry (44) was named the player of the game by the Chilliwack coaches. The Bears have a bye next week and return home on Thanksgiving weekend to keep their winning streak alive.
