October Newsletter

Hi Bears

Things are looking great both on and off the field as we approach the second half of the season. We still have 2 undefeated team…our Junior Bantams are scoring a ton of points and our Kodiaks are not giving up any points against.

Good luck to all teams as we push for playoff spots in all divisions

October Pink Socks

Every year players around the league including our association wear pink socks on game days to support breast cancer awareness month. The board of directors voted this year players should wear pink socks during our games on October 12 & 13th only. We’ll be selling socks at the field this Weds and next Weds for $5.00 each. The socks have been donated and all proceeds from the sale of socks will be donated

LIVE STREAMING

Just a reminder as a partner with the big screen at MAP NLFA pays to have all games recorded and streamed live.

Awards Night

Our season ending awards night will be held on Wednesday December 5 at the Chief Sepass Theater in Fort Langley (Langley Fine Arts School). It’s a great night to celebrate the past season. I’m looking for volunteers to help make the team videos. If you have experience making videos and can help us out please email me as soon as possible

BC Lions Community Night

We’ll have 2 BC Lions at Wednesdays practice to help run drills. They’ll spend approx. 15 minutes with the flag – JB team.

And finally a reminder to all fans in the stands and around the stadium, feel free to watch the game while walking around the track but there is no leaning on the black fence anywhere around the field. There will be announcements about this during the game and the commissioner will ask anyone on the player side of the track to kindly move.

Make noise, cheer on our teams, be respectful and welcome the opposition to our stadium

Good luck to all teams this weekend

GO BEARS GO!
